Web development and custom software for Kuwaiti businesses

For the family trading group that has outgrown its spreadsheets but does not want a system designed for somebody else's business.

2.5 hours of time difference We cover Sunday to Thursday Arabic and English, right to left
Start a conversation

A great deal of Kuwaiti business sits inside established family groups, and the software usually tells the story of how the group grew. One division on a proper system, another on spreadsheets, a third on a package bought years ago that nobody has the password to change. Consolidating it has been discussed at every management meeting for a decade.

The reason it never happens is that off the shelf software does not know how your group works, and the approval chain that actually runs the business is nowhere in the manual. We build around what you already do instead of asking you to abandon it, and we start with one division rather than all of them.

Working with us from Kuwait

Why this suits a Kuwaiti group

Your approvals, as they really are

The person who genuinely signs off a purchase is not always the person in the org chart. We build the chain that actually operates, including the exceptions, because a system that ignores the exceptions gets bypassed within a month.

Sunday to Thursday, covered

Your week starts on Sunday. We cover it, so you are not waiting until Monday for a reply to something raised on your first working day.

Arabic and English together

Right to left layout built in from the start, both languages maintained equally, and documents that print correctly in either.

One division first

We do not start by replacing everything. One division, one process, something working that people can actually see. The rest is far easier to agree once there is a real example in the building.

Industries

Kuwaiti businesses we build for

Trading and distribution

Multi brand groups handling supplier price lists, orders and stock across divisions that each do it slightly differently.

Contracting

Progress billing, material requests and subcontractor records, currently moving through paper and phone calls.

Automotive and dealerships

Sales, service, parts and warranty sitting in separate systems that nobody has ever managed to join.

Retail groups

Several outlets and several brands, with head office reporting always a few days behind reality.

We work with businesses in Kuwait City, Hawalli, Farwaniya, Ahmadi and across Kuwait.

How the distance is handled

Across the gap, in practice

Kuwait is two and a half hours behind us and we cover your Sunday to Thursday week, so there is an overlap on every working day you have.

A written update on the same day each week, a board you can open whenever you want, and the engineers themselves on the call. One person is responsible for your project and does not change every quarter.

How we start

Small first, so being wrong is cheap

Nobody should hand a large project to a team they have never worked with on the strength of a proposal document.

01

A conversation about the problem

Not about technology. What the job is, who does it today, how long it takes and what it costs when it goes wrong.

02

A written scope and a fixed price

What is included, what is not, what it costs and when it finishes. In writing before anything starts.

03

One small piece, built

Four to eight weeks of real work you can use, not a prototype. You see the code, the pace and how we behave when something goes wrong.

04

Then decide about the rest

With working software in front of you instead of a slide deck. If we are not the right team, you found out cheaply and you keep what was built.

Questions

What businesses in Kuwait ask us

Can you build it in Arabic?

Yes, right to left interfaces with Arabic and English maintained together. For the wording we work with your team or a translator, so it reads properly rather than merely correctly.

What if our processes are unusual?

They usually are, and that is the argument for custom software rather than against it. We write down what actually happens, including the parts nobody documented, and build that.

How do you handle our working week?

We cover Sunday to Thursday. Your week opens with us already working on it.

Which currency do you invoice in?

KWD or USD, whichever your accounts prefer, by bank transfer against delivery milestones.

Do we have to replace everything at once?

No, and we would advise against it. One division, one process, something real that works. Big bang replacements are how these projects die.

Who owns the software?

You do. Your repository, your source code, full documentation. Nothing is locked to us.

No obligation, no sales sequence

Tell us what is not working

Describe the process that is costing you the most time. We will tell you what we would build, roughly what it would cost and whether it is worth doing at all. If it is not, we will say so.
